131 servicemen in self-isolation amid 5 coronavirus cases in AFU

As of April 9, 5 cases of coronavirus were recorded in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the press service of the Ukrainian army’s Medical Forces Command.

“As of 07 a.m. on April 9, 5 cases of the acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus were registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including one fatality, were registered,” the statement reads.

Some 131 soldiers are staying in isolation. The isolation terms expired in the next three days for 28 servicemen.

“The analysis of the cases among the military and civilians shows that most often the infection is spread during short meetings with friends and relatives, who do not represent those with whom you communicate or live every day. Do not put yourself and your family under undue danger by communication with unnecessary contacts,” it reads.
