Today, January 16, is World Day of the legendary Liverpool’s “The Beatles”, one of the most popular music bands in the world. About this reports Golos.ua.

According to the decision of UNESCO, since 2001, the World Day of The Beatles is celebrated on January 16, because on January 16, 1957 the Club “The Cavern” opened in Liverpool where young musicians John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison began their journey to glory. Later they were joined by Ringo Starr.
In 1964, and also on January 16, another significant event for the four occurred – the magazine Cashbox assigned song “I Want To Hold Your Hand” to the first place in American charts.
"The Beatles" officially released 13 albums, each song of which became a real hit. After the release of the single "Please Please Me", the group received worldwide recognition. From that moment on, the world began a madness, which was called "Beatlesmania."
Today "The Beatles" ranks first in the list of the greatest performers of all time according to the version of the magazine "Rolling Stone".
