29 artillery shells of World War Second found in Kyiv

In total, 29 explosive objects of the World War Second were found and destroyed in the Desnyanskiy district of Kyiv on May 25. This is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The source reports that the ammunition was found in the forest near the village of Bykivnya.

In particular, АС-76 (76mm) artillery shells in the amount of 27 units and one АС-122 (122mm) unit were found, as well as an АС-57 (57mm) artillery shell was found in the Shevchenkivs’kyi district of Kyiv on the territory of a private household located on the Teshibaevska st., 27-A.

The ministry noted that all explosive objects date back to the World War Second.

“A group of pyrotechnic staff of the Mobile Rescue Center of the State Emergencies Service discovered explosive objects, seized ‘em and destroyed at the landfill,” said in a statement.

As The Journalist reported, a cache with large-caliber shells was found in the Luhansk Oblast.
