President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Russian President Vladimir Putin in Minsk in February 2015 at the Norman Four negotiations threatened to kill 8,000 Ukrainian soldiers who were defending Debaltseve and refused to lay down their arms and surrender.
The president said this on the program “Freedom of Speech” on the ICTV channel.
“In February 2015, at that time when the exhausted 128th brigade, 25th battalion heroically held Debaltseve.,” Poroshenko said.
“Putin sat and freely analyzed: “No, we will not cease fire, we will not stop the offensive, your troops will be in the ring, and we will not release anyone. You will have 8 thousand Ukrainians killed. Or they raise the white flag, give up their weapons and surrender, or we will destroy them.” I answered, “You can’t do anything. We will never raise a white flag. This is the honor of the Ukrainian soldier,” the head of state added.
In addition, Poroshenko recalled that “Putin is the man who ordered the deployment of Russian troops during the illegal annexation of the Crimea”
As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko said that the Security Service of Ukraine has prevented nearly 300 terrorist acts over the past 5 years.
