In Russia, law enforcement officers detained a person suspected of stealing a painting by Arkhip Kuindzhi “Ai-Petri. Crimea" from Tretyakov Gallery. About this reports TASS.
A 31-year-old suspect was detained in the village of Zarechye, Moscow obalst. He told the investigators that he had hidden the stolen canvas on the territory of a facility under construction in the Odintsovo district. Militiamen checked the specified information and found a picture there. The painting was seized.
It is noted that the suspect in theft of painting is the person involved in the criminal case, which was initiated earlier under Art. 228 (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, manufacture, processing of narcotic drugs).
Earlier, the “Journalist” reported that Kuindzhi’s painting had been stolen from Tretyakov Gallery.
