Pompeo: U.S. starts withdrawing troops from Syria

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said that the process of withdrawing the U.S. military contingent from Syria is under way. This was reported by Newsmax.

“Our troops are leaving [Syria, – ed.] … I don’t want the enemies to know exactly when this will happen,” said the Secretary of State.

In turn, according to Pompeo, the United States will continue the campaign against Syrian militants and will do everything necessary to ensure stability in the Middle East.

In addition, the US Secretary of State did not announce the exact withdrawal date of American troops, for fear of disrupting this operation.
