To Uman to celebrate the 5779th New Year came 28 thousand pilgrims. As correspondent of #Bukv reports, today at noon Hasidics, who gathered in the Ukrainian city for a Jewish holiday, prayed for peace and prosperity on the whole planet.
Traditionally, the whole neighborhood has turned into a continuous pedestrian zone filled with people. Hasidics massively buy souvenirs, souvenirs made of wood and furs, books, garments, gold jewelry, toys, drinks.
Pilgrims from the United States installed on Pushkin street points with free food. Everywhere people dance and sing.
About 600 police officers came to watch the city from all regions of Ukraine.
Rosh Hashanah in 2018 is celebrated on September 9-11.
