In the village of Obyrok (Borznyansky district, Chernihiv region) a famous Ukrainian director, producer, traveler and writer Leonid Kanter shot himself. This was reported by the press center of the General Directorate of the National Police in Ukraine on Facebook.
His body was found in the evening on June 4.
Police officers who came to the scene of the incident seized a large number of firearms and cartridges from the deceased.
According to preliminary estimates of specialists, the man shot himself. An investigation is underway at the moment.
INFO: Leonid Kanter was born and raised in Kyiv. In 1998 Leonid finished Kyiv Natural Science Lyceum №145.
When he was the first-year student (1998) he worked as a journalist and presenter on the National Ukrainian Television. In 2003 he established the «Lizard films» production. This studio made more than 50 short films, some full-length movies and documentaries.
In 2007 Leonid Kanter moved to the small village of Obyrok (Chernihiv region) and turned it into a Natural Art settlement, where he collected friends from all over the world, organized festivals, creative events, creative schools and folk festivals.
