China supports the choice of the Ukrainian people made in the presidential elections in the second round of elections held on April 21.
This was stated by spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Geng Shuang in Beijing, according to the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
“Ukraine is a friend of China. We respect the choice of the Ukrainian people and sincerely hope for peace, stability and prosperity of the country. Relations between our two states are very important to us, and we will cooperate with the Ukrainian side to promote our cooperation in different directions in accordance with the ‘One Belt – One Way’ initiative,” UNIAN reports.
