Antimonopoly committee of Ukraine by a majority of votes allowed DTEK to acquire Kyivoblenergo and Odessaoblenergo power companies. This was announced by the journalist of the “Nashi Grohsі” publication, Yurii Nikolov, on his Facebook page.
The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine imposed a number of obligations on DTEK, which eliminate any possible impact on related markets – electricity supply and production.
Odesaoblenergo and Kyivoblenergo are distribution system operators in the Odessa and Kyiv oblasts and do not carry out electricity supply activities. The activities of the distribution system operators are fully regulated by the NKREKP.
On January 3, 2019, DTEK Neftegaz and NGR B.V. (Netherlands) entered into contracts for the sale of shares of these companies. The agreements are concluded under a suspensive condition and must be completed after obtaining the necessary permits from state bodies, including the approval of the antimonopoly authorities.
As The Journalist reported, DTEK will launch a test fast charging network for electric vehicles.
