The corresponding provision was stipulated in the bill No.10266, which was submitted to the parliament by six people’s deputies, most of them are representatives of the Samopomich political faction.

The draft law provides for the introduction of two requirements into the electoral lists of candidates for people’s deputies of Ukraine from the party in the nationwide district, namely:

no more than 70% of candidates of the same sex, with the difference in the order of priority in the lists of candidates for women and men, nominated by political parties, should not exceed three positions;

at least 10% of candidates under the age of 35, while the difference in priority in the lists of candidates under the age of 35 and over should not exceed nine positions.

In case of violation of these requirements, the CEC will not accept documents for registration of candidates for deputies included in the party’s electoral list.

As The Journalist reported, Verkhovna Rada began collecting signatures for a draft law “On the President of Ukraine”.
