Valeriy Chaly, Ukrainian Ambassador in Washington, held talks with the chairman of Senate Appropriations Committee, Roy Blunt, on the possibility of increasing the US budget for security and defense of Ukraine. It is reported by the press center of the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States on its official page on Facebook.
The ambassador also acquainted senator with the current situation in the territories of Donbas temporarily occupied by aggressor country and in the Crimea. At the same time, Chaly stressed the importance of further strengthening Ukrainian-American strategic partnership. During the meeting, ambassador confirmed the unchanged course of Ukraine towards democratic reforms, reforms and integration with the EU and NATO.
Earlier, the “Journalist” reported that the US Senate offered to significantly increase assistance to Ukraine for the construction of fortifications of the Navy.
