The European Union intends to once again extend the unilateral prohibitive measures against Crimea and Sevastopol, with expiry date on June 23, 2019, for a year.

This was reported by the TASS Russian news agency with reference to a European source in Brussels.

“On June 23 the sanctions on Crimea and Sevastopol expire. Since the situation remains unchanged, the restrictive measures are expected to be extended for another year, as it was done before”, the message says.

It is noted that the official decision on the extension of sanctions will be taken without discussion and, most likely, at the EU Council meeting on June 17 in Luxembourg.
