The member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Rector of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Viktor Ohneviuk, called on the Central Election Commission of Ukraine to provide the document, which proves that presidential candidate, comedian Volodymyr Zelensky knows the Ukrainian language. Viktor Ohneviuk wrote this on Facebook.
Ohneviuk reminded that according to Article 103 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the president can become a citizen of Ukraine who aged 35, has the right to vote, has been living in Ukraine for the last ten years before the election day and knows the state language.
“I doubt that presidential candidate, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelensky, knows the Ukrainian language. In order not to violate the Constitution of Ukraine, I call on the Central Election Commission to publish a document confirming he knows Ukrainian language,” the report says
