Anti Corruption Action Centre, Transparency International Ukraine and AutoMaidan appealed in court against appointment of Pavlo Zhebrivsky as auditor of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

This was reported by the Anti Corruption Action Centre.

The appointment was appealed to the Administrative Court of Appeals of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

Activists demand removing Zhebrivsky as NABU auditor by repealing Poroshenko’s decree. The reason: Zhebrivsky has no experience in law enforcement or working with international judicial bodies or in international organizations, as required by law.

«The illegal appointment of auditor of the NABU Zhebrivsky puts into doubt the whole result of the audit. The powers of such an auditor can easily be appealed in court and, the whole audit conclusion along with it», – the message said.

The head of Transparency International Ukraine, Yaroslav Yurchishin, said: «the president did not take the opportunity to appoint, by his quota, an authoritative international expert with experience in conducting an audit of the law enforcement agency. We insist on meeting the requirements of the law».

As «The Journalist» reported, Poroshenko appointed Zhebrivskyi the auditor of the NABU.
