In Manchester, there was a battle for the title of the absolute world champion in heavy weight between the Ukrainian holder of all titles Oleksandr Usyk and the British boxer Tony Bellew.
As noted by xsport.ua, after adapting in the first round, Oleksandr seized the initiative and began to step up the pace of the fight.
After the fifth round, Tony began to miss the heavy blows, and in the eighth, the Ukrainian managed to send the opponent in a knockout. The referee of the match is not allowed to continue the fight.
Thus, Usyk was able to defend all his belts and defend the title of absolute world champion in heavy weight, for Bellew this defeat was the third in pro-training.
Earlier, Usyk said that after the fight with Tony Bellew, the transition to super heavyweight would take place, while the Briton hinted that the fight with Oleksandr would be the last in his career.
