In 2018, Oleksandr Usyk became the winner of World Boxing Super Series, alternately defeating opponents of Mairis Briedis, and then Russian Murat Gassiev.
Before the fight with the Russian, Usyk was the owner of WBO and WBC heavyweight belts, and after the victory over Gassiev, Ukrainian became the owner of WBA and IBF titles.
In November, Oleksandr successfully defended his championship titles in Manchester, being stronger than Briton Tony Bellew.
