As "Observer" informs , a cybersecurity expert of several US government organizations, Clete Stevens, in his interview to Forbes International commented on the aggressive informational policy of Russian special services in the segment of the Ukrainian Internet. According to him, the invasion of the news space and the social channels of Internet users can be compared to the real-world military actions

Mr Clete stressed the fact that administering propaganda is not limited to information and news resources, and most of the manipulation of public consciousness occurs on popular platforms with pirated music and video content. Companies that monetize Internet traffic, such as Adwise.agency, use a large number of technical traps to collect personal data of users, and then transfer them to shadow political companies and businesses.

The expert called Ukraine a vivid example of how, despite the active applications of the cyberpolicy, companies that collect personal data of users can develop their own propaganda network. «Owners of the scandalous company Adwise.agency, Russian citizens Rustam Gilfanov and Serhei Tokarev, as well as the head of the agency Kirill Sigida, control a number of companies operating in Ukraine, such as Lucky Labs, AdTech and Playson. Working together, all these companies can carry out all necessary actions on cyber-collecting of data and transferring them to their customers,» – wrote the journalist of another well-known American publication, International Policy Digest).

«Despite the ban on the online casino (which is part of the holding of these companies) and the investigation of illegal activities of one of them, these actions are not sufficient to stop the network of companies,» – the expert said.

According to Stevens, the activities of companies such as Adwise.agency (which openly advertises in Ukraine the banned Yandex.ru and other tools of Russian propaganda), must be strictly regulated by the Ukrainian Government. The expert emphasizes that global democratic communities must unite to prevent totalitarian attacks on free peoples.
Stephens sees a great perspective in uniting the efforts of the Ukrainian and American governments in the fight against shadow platforms, and the expert insists on the need for an intergovernmental cybersecurity entity capable of stopping the activities of such companies.
