Armed Forces of Ukraine receive largest since independence batch of modernized firefighting tanks

The Lviv Armored Plant, which is part of the Ukroboronprom Group of Companies, has completed overhaul and modernization of about a dozen GPM-54 fire tanks. This was reported by the press service of the Ukroboronprom.

“In less than a year, the technological and design documentation for the overhaul and modernization of firefighting tanks was finalized and the production process was launched. And over the past year and a half, the enterprise has restored more than two dozen fire tanks,” the director of the Lviv Armored Plant Viktor Androshchuk said.

Fire machines have undergone significant design changes. The modernized firefighting tanks were equipped with new European-made hydraulic equipment, bulldozer equipment and a vehicle body lifting mechanism.
