The Austrian government decided to provide the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) EUR 500,000 and Austrian non-governmental organizations another EUR 500,000 to alleviate the emergency situation in the crisis regions of Ukraine, European Truth reported.

Foreign Minister Alexander Shallenberg noted that Austria wants to facilitate the access of humanitarian aid and support mine clearance operations in conflict regions in eastern Ukraine.

He noted that despite the progress in containing the conflict, the humanitarian situation in the affected regions of Ukraine continues to cause concern.

“The security situation remains unstable, especially in the eastern part of the country, despite the ceasefire,” the message says.

As The Journalist reported, IOM send 30 tons of humanitarian aid to residents of occupied Donbas.
