Avakov: National Police strengthened Zelensky’s guard before second round of presidential elections

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, said that Zelensky received protection in the first round of the presidential elections in Ukraine, and the National Police reinforced his guard before the second round, UNIAN reports.

“Zelensky received the state function, of course. He received guards from the National Police. And he had this guard since the first round; it’s just when Zelensky made it to the second round, we boosted these defenses, of course,” Avakov said.

As The Journalist reported, Zelensky asked the Ministry of Internal Affairs to provide his security before the second round of elections.
