Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov has said that Ukrainian law enforcers will enter and patrol the occupied territories together with local representatives, Hromadske reported.

Avakov said that the Ukrainian police will enter the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts only after the illegal armed groups left this territories.

“This is a very difficult transition period, it will last six months or even a year, but we are ready to go through. But it will be done later, when everyone agrees on everything, but as for now we see that Putin is not ready to return control under the border to us,” Avakov said.

The Interior Minister also added that the Ukrainian side could agree to a compromise to get control over the border “not a month, but, for example, 2 days before the local elections.”

As The Journalist reported, Zelensky proposes to create another subgroup within TCG framework.
