Militants shelled Ukrainian army positions 24 times over past 24 hours: three Ukrainian servicemen were wounded

Over past day, July 12, illegal armed formations violated ceasefire regime 24 times, 2 times using heavy weapons. As a result, three JFO soldiers were wounded. This is reported by the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation (JFO) on Facebook.

The situation remained calm in the Luhansk and Horlivka sectors. In the Popasna and Svitlodarsk sectors, the enemy was active near the settlements of Troyitske and Novoluhanske.
In the Donetsk sector, militants fired on the Joint Forces units positions eight times, using heavy machine guns and small arms near the settlements of Maryinka, Berezove, Avdiyivka and Opytne.
In the Mariupol sector, militants shelled Ukrainian positions 14 times.

«Militants shelled the Ukrainian defenders positions 14 times, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms near the settlements of Vodiane, Pavlopil, Talakivka, Lebedynske and Pyshchevyk. Along with this, for the first time in six days the enemy used 82-mm mortars (proscribed under the Minsk Peace Agreements) and launched 14 mines at the defenders of Pavlopil and Vodiane,» – the message stated.

In the result of combat actions, three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded.

As «The Journalist» reported earlier, militants shelled the JFO forces positions 25 times.
