The security and defense sector lacks about UAH 27 billion in the budget for next year, said Ivan Vinnik, the Secretary of the Committee on National Security and Defense.
«We need to increase the issuance and administration of state guarantees to the security and defense sector by UAH 12 billion. Consequently, this is an additional UAH 12 billion, which the Government needs to find. Plus, the issue of raising the cash supply for the Ukrainian military has not been resolved,» – the parliamentarian said.
«The Governmental position – there is no money, but hold fast – does not suit to us. Such a budget has rather dubious prospects for adoption. The figures that we now know about the budget for the next year, and the mood that hovers around the draft document, do not allow me to positively evaluate the draft budget 2019,» – concluded Vinnik.
