BPP Solidarity Party declared its readiness to participate in the early parliamentary elections.
This is stated in a statement published on the party’s website.
“The main source of power in Ukraine, according to the Constitution, are the people, and the BPP Solidarity party is ready for both planned elections to the Verkhovna Rada and early elections. We are ready for the elections in terms of organization and content,” the statement says.
At the same time, the Solidarity Party noted that the president’s right to early terminate the powers of the parliament must be exercised in full compliance with the Constitution.
“Democracy means the procedure; the absence of a procedure means authoritarianism. The model of such a mechanism can serve as a legally flawless decision of Petro Poroshenko in 2014 to dissolve the paliament. The president has the right to dissolve the parliament, but this right is not unconditional and should comply with the Constitution,” the statement says.
As The Journalist reported, UDAR party will participate in parliamentary elections.
