British Ambassador to Russia Deborah Bronnert confirmed that Serhii Skripal and his daughter Julia are alive. She stated this in an interview with Kommersant.

Bronnett confirmed that the Skripals were alive, but stressed that she could not provide information about their current location.

“Of course they are alive. I cannot answer you where they are located, because we respect the people’s right to independent decisions. Both the government and the police will always be guided by the wishes of individuals,” Bronnert said.

On March 4, 2018, GRU officer Serhii Skripal and his daughter Julia were found unconscious in British Salisbury and were hospitalized with diagnosis of poisoning with an unknown substance. Later it turned out that the unknown substance was the Novichok, a reagent of Russian origin.

As The Journalist reported, U.S. extends sanctions against Russia because of annexation of Crimea and activity in Donbas.
