The British police complied with the requirement of the Ukrainian embassy and removed the trident from its Extremism guide. This is stated by the UK police explaining the purpose of the guide.

After the meeting of the Kingdom’s Foreign Ministry officials with representatives of the Ukrainian Embassy, it was decided to remove the constitutional coat of arms of Ukraine – the trident – from the guide.

It is noted that the counterterrorism department noted that ultra-right groups often “appropriate” national symbols, and therefore some national flags and symbols fell into the document and the manual aimed to inform law enforcement officers about the “number of signs and symbols that they may encounter.”

“This, however, does not mean that the groups mentioned poses treat as a terrorist or criminals. This is clearly indicated at the beginning of the document,” the department noted.

As The Journalist reported, Ukraine demands Great Britain to remove Tryzub from Extremism guide.
