Canadian delegation visited JFO area

Department of Homeland Security of Canada delegation, led Assistant Deputy Minister of Policy Peter Hammerschmidt visited the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Members of the delegation have acquainted with the security policy and operational situation in JFO area.

“Representatives of Canada Homeland Security Department have acquainted with the current security policy and the operational situation in the Joint Force Operation area, in particular in the area of ​​the withdrawal of forces and hardware near the settlement of Zolote. In addition, Canadian delegation have acquainted with the measures taken by the Ukrainian units against tactics of the units (groups) of the Russian occupation forces,” the statement said.

The delegation from Canada was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Polishchuk and Joint Forces Commander, Lieutenant General Volodymyr Kravchenko.

Also, a foreign delegation visited Avdiivka, where they acquainted with the situation on the contact line.

During the visit, the parties agreed to work on the development of military-technical cooperation, training of personnel and military education.

The representatives of Canada confirmed their intention to further develop material and technical assistance to improve the capabilities of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As The Journalist reported, Prystaiko said ICRC’s reps will soon be admitted to occupied Donbas.
