CEC calls Poroshenko, Zelensky to prepare for second round of presidential elections

The Central Election Commission of Ukraine (CEC) called on the leading candidates to prepare for the second round of presidential elections.

This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the CEC Yevhen Radchenko, UNIAN informs.

“Obviously, there will be a second round. Therefore, the CEC now faces a very ambitious task due to the very short time interval between the final results and the signing of the protocol on the appointment of a repeat vote on April 21,” said the CEC head Tatyana Slipachuk.

Radchenko, in turn, stressed that the candidates should already begin to prepare for the second round, since district and precinct election commissions will be formed anew.

“Both candidates will be eligible to an equal share of representation in the commissions,” the deputy head of the CEC stressed.

As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko’s campaign staff call on candidates who have not proceeding to the second round to support the current head of state.
