Partially destroyed Banksy’s work exhibited in museum

The picture of the British famous street artist Banksy’s “The Girl with the Ball”, which was cut by a shredder, was exhibited at Frieder Burda Museum in Baden-Baden (Germany). About this reports Radio Svoboda.

Before the exhibition, the staff shut off the shredder in order to be sure that the work will not be completely destroyed.
Recall that in October 2018, Banksy’s work was put up for auction at Sotheby’s in London. Immediately after the painting was sold for $ 1.5 million, it self-destructed. It soon became known that a shredder was installed in the frame, which cut the canvas into long strips. This action was conceived by the author. But to destroy until the end did not work, because the shredder broke.
