Since the beginning of the Russian armed aggression, some 255,090 soldiers and employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – members of the Anti-Terrorist Operation and the Joint Force operation, have received combatant status.
This was announced by the press secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Colonel Dmytro Gutsulyak.
He noted that the rewarding of servicemen and employees of the Ukrainian army with state awards and encouraging distinctions of the Ministry of Defense is continues to honored the best Ukraine’s defenders.
“According to the Department of Personnel Policy of the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of 2019, 1,145 servicemen and employees of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have received state awards for exemplary and professional performance of duties,” said Gutsulyak.
