The full-length debut of the film EVGE (“Home”) of the Crimean Tatar director Nariman Aliyev will take place during the Cannes Film Festival. The tape was chosen to be shown in the competition program (“Special Look”).

“Today it was announced that the film “ EVGE ”(Home) will take part in the program“ Un Certain Regard ”(Special View) at the Festival de Cannes. Almost three years have passed since I began to develop the script for the film. During this time, a lot of events happened, but the project gradually continued to develop and be implemented.

“Home” tells the story of the Crimean Tatar Mustafa. His two sons went to Kiev after the annexation of the Crimea. The story begins with the fact that his eldest son Nazim dies, and his father goes to the capital to bring his younger son Alim home and bury his elder son in the Crimea according to Muslim traditions.
