Czech Health Minister Adam Vojtěch has said that although summer vacations abroad are only just beginning, the first Czech tourists returning from abroad imported coronavirus infection, Aroundprague.cz reports.

“Yes, we have already registered the first cases of infection imported by people who returned from vacation. But so far these are really separated cases, not dozens,” Vojtěch said.

According to the Minister of Health, mainly citizens fell ill in three countries, namely, in Croatia, Bulgaria and Greece.

“People should be vigilant and monitor the current epidemiological situation in each country, including local outbreaks. If someone still prefers to visit foreign destinations such as Croatia, Greece, Bulgaria and other countries popular in the Czech Republic, it is necessary to take this risk into account and protect yourself proactively,” Vojtěch emphasized.

The minister also clarified that it is important to avoid crowded places, keep safe distance, wear face masks and use disinfectants regularly.

At the same time, Vojtěch denies any new hygiene measures currently being prepared for tourists returning from the above countries.
