The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Oleksandr Danyliuk, and US Chargé d’Affaires in Ukraine, William Taylor, visited the Kalanchak checkpoint at the administrative border with the Russian-occupied Crimea.

“Being accompanied by the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, Ambassador William Taylor, Acting SBU Chairman Ivan Bakanov and the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, Mustafa Dzhemilev, I have visited the Kalanchak checkpoint at the border with the occupied Crimean peninsula,” Danyliuk wrote on the social network.

The NSDC secretary stressed that he had recorded a video message to his father, with whom he used to visit Crimea when a boy.

“I believe that very soon I will be able to show our “Crimean memories” with my father to my children,” Danyliuk said.
