The demand for cars has grown in Ukraine. However, the upward trend did not affect the commercial vehicle segment, which includes trucks and vans.
The new commercial vehicles market fell by almost 3% in 2019, and the total number of registered commercial vehicles in 2019 totals 12,400. This was reported by analysts of the Ukravtoprom, Ukrainian Automaker Association.
However, in December 2019, the fleet of commercial cars in Ukraine was replenished with 1,500 new cars. This figure was the highest for 12 months of last year – the number of cars purchased in December was 28% higher than the December figure of 2018.
Also, analysts called the TOP 5 brands of commercial vehicles in 2019:
1. Renault – 2,469 pcs. (+ 2% compared to 2018).
2. Fiat – 1,491 pcs. (+ 12%).
3. Ford – 922 pcs. (-9%).
4. Mercedes-Benz – 850 pcs. (-19%).
5. Peugeot – 828 pcs. (+ 80%).
