The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine announced the start of cooperation with Visa international payment system aimed at establishing consulting areas for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as development of public online services.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov and Senior Vice President, Group Country Manager for Visa CISSEE Vira Platonova have signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The Cabinet of Ministers said that the Ministry of Digital Transformations intends to create consulting areas for entrepreneurs in the format of online platforms and offline hubs in every oblast of Ukraine.

VISA, in its turn, will support the implementation of this project and will direct its efforts to development of information and educational materials for small and medium-sized businesses on digital literacy, the use of modern technologies for receiving payments (Tap to Phone technology, which turns a smartphone into a mobile POS terminal , and QR codes).

The parties also plan to introduce technological solutions for payment for administrative and other electronic services through the mobile application and online public services (diia.gov.ua).

“A person’s communication with the state should be as convenient, fast and inconspicuous as possible. We are guided by this principle, creating a mobile application and “Diia” portal. It’s important for us to provide citizens with the opportunity to receive not only services online, but also financial assistance from the state,” Fedorov said.
