December 17 was the first day of the online conference of heads of foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine “Think BIG”. The Journalist reported with reference to the press center of the Foreign Ministry.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined the priorities of Ukraine’s foreign policy.

One of the key areas, according to the Head of the Ukrainian State, should be the continuation of efforts towards the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine and the promotion of Ukrainian exports.

“For the first time, such a sincere and substantive, lively conversation between the President and the heads of foreign diplomatic institutions took place. It was not a ceremonial performance, but really a conversation. Ambassadors are the guard of the President, because, according to the Constitution, he is in charge of foreign policy. Such a fundamental conversation between the “diplomatic commander-in-chief” and the commanders of the “diplomatic brigades” of Ukraine around the world is very important for us,” said Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

The Minister told how Ukrainian diplomats will work on the implementation of the tasks defined by the President: “The Ukrainian diplomat has three key tasks: to protect the interests of the state, to promote Ukrainian business and to help Ukrainian citizens.”

He recalled that among the key foreign policy priorities of the President are strengthening the security of our state, maintaining and strengthening sanctions against the aggressor state of Russia, clear tasks for a permanent further course of European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Dmytro Kuleba noted that economic indicators and the entry of Ukrainian goods to foreign markets will become key criteria for assessing the work of foreign diplomatic institutions.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also noted that one of the priorities of work next year will be the development and implementation of a fundamentally new policy on interaction with foreign Ukrainians.

On December 18 will be held the second day of an online conference with the participation of Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, Vice Prime Minister – Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu will address the ambassadors with a special speech as a guest of honor.

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell will also address the conference participants in a special video message.
