On April 8, the militants shelled Joint Forces positions in Donbas eight times. As a result, one JF member was injured, according to the JFO HQ press center.
During the day, the enemy opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars, which actually should be withdrawn from the disengagement area in accordance to the Minsk agreements, as well as from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
Under the enemy fire came Pavlopil, Naberezhne, and Hnutove settlements. In addition, the enemy shelled Ukrainian fortified positions near Marjinka and Starohnativka.
In in the zone of responsibility of the Pivnich [North] tactical group, the enemy attacked Ukrainian army four times.
