Donbas war: Ukraine reports one WIA amid 9 enemy attacks over past day

The situation in Donbas war area over the past day, June 2 was tense as the occupying forces carried out nine attacks, forcing the Ukrainian troops to open fire in response. One Ukrainian soldier was injured during enemy shelling, according to the Joint Forces Operation HQ.

The militants violated the ceasefire regime 9 times per day near Starohnativka, Pavlopil, Bohdanivka, Marjinka, Vodiane, Maiorske, Novozvanivka and Khutir Vilniy.

Once again, the enemy fired at Ukrainian positions with banned by Minsk agreements, namely 152mm artillery systems and 82mm mortars, as well as grenade launchers, machine guns and sniper weapons. For the first time in a lot of time, militants used unguided missile shells near Pavlopil.

Units of the Joint Forces conducted an active defense and gave an adequate response to the enemy, eliminating two occupiers, as the intelligence data said.
