Erdogan asked names of all Ukrainian political prisoners, promises to «talk to Putin»

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan asked the informal leader of Crimean Tatars Mustafa Dzhemilev to pass him the list of of Ukrainian political prisoners held in Russian penitentiary facilities.

Thus, the Turkish leader intends to «talk with Putin,» Radio Liberty reported.

«During our last meetings, which was held on July 12, me and Poroshenko were at the opening of Transanatolian gas pipeline system. We had a meeting with Erdogan then, and I told him that over 70 of our political prisoners are now in Russian prisons, so he and Putin should talk about their release! He said: Of course, we will take some measures, but you tell me at least a few names. I remembered Sentsov and Kolchenko,» – said MP Mustafa Dzhemilev, the representative of the President of Ukraine for Crimean Tatar people affairs.

Dzhemilev also said that a few days ago the Turkish Foreign Ministry asked him for a full list of Ukrainian political prisoners.
