The funds will be directed to implement the Twinning annual project “Development of Renewable Energy in Ukraine”, which was launched by the Austrian-Italian consortium and the State Energy Efficiency Agency, European Truth reports.

“Within the framework of the project, EU experts will provide recommendations to the State Energy Efficiency and other interested parties on putting the Ukrainian legislation in line with European one and share their experience on increasing the share of renewable energy and stimulating green investment,” the State Energy Efficiency informed.

Partners will also work together on implementation of governmental action plans for renewable energy.

The project implementation is set up for 15 months period, which will be performed by the Austrian energy regulator E-Control, the Austrian Energy Agency, the Austrian Ecology Agency, the Austrian Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism and the Italian EURAC Research Institute in partnership with the State Energy Efficiency.
