The Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine urged the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to adopt the draft law “On Media” in the first reading during the current parliamentary session, which will allow to prolong its further discussion and refinement with the involvement of all interested parties.
“The draft law “On Media” is an important step to bring Ukrainian media legislation in line with EU rules. We join other diplomatic missions in their call for the adoption of this bill on first reading during the current parliamentary session. This will extend its further discussion and refinement with the involvement of all interested parties,” the message reads.
The current session of parliament will end on July 17.
