EU provides Ukrainian border guards with personal protective equipment

The European Union sends personal protective equipment worth almost one million hryvnias to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the SBGS.

Assistance was provided within the framework of the EU Support to Strengthening Integrated Border Management in Ukraine (EU4IBM) project.

The protective equipment included 1,000 face masks, 1,000 medical gloves, 1,000 glasses, 800 protective shields, 700 medical insulating kits, 1,000 medical covers and 79 non-contact thermometers.

“Providing protective equipment to the State Border Guard Service is part of IOM’s response supporting the Government of Ukraine in their efforts to protect the citizens from this pandemic. We stand with Ukraine during this unprecedented crisis,” the head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Ambassador Matti Maasikas said.
