The International Football Federation (FIFA) has issued a formal warning to a Croatian player Domagoj Vida for his behavior after Croatian team knocked host Russia out of the World Cup.
This was reported by James Ellingworth in his microblog on Twitter.
«Vida will not be disqualified from playing in his team’s semifinal matchup against England. He only has received a formal warning from FIFA,» – the message said.
James Ellingworth added to his post a screen with the statement of the representative of FIFA:
«We can confirm that FIFA’s disciplinary committee has sent a warning to the player Domagoj Vida due to his video statement following the 2018 FIFA World Cup match between Russia and Croatia», – the message said.
