First U.S. oil tanker arrives in Ukraine

The U.S. oil tanker docked in Odesa seaport, according to the port press service.

It transported 80.5 thousand tons of Bakken oil to the 2N berth.

According to media, the crude oil tanker Minerva Kythnos (249 m length, sailing under flag of Greece) was loaded on February 27 at the Port Neches (USA, Texas). The cargo is intended for processing at the Kremenchug refinery (Ukrainian enterprise).

The Port of Odesa reminds that last year they received three tankers with American oil, with a total volume of 250,000 tons.

To the main dispatch office of the Odesa branch of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, another oil tanker with Azerbaijani oil is expected to arrive at late March. The Sea Jaguar oil tanker (250 m length, sailing under the flag of the Marshall Islands) carrying 83.7 thousand tons of Azeri Light oil was loaded last week in the Turkish port of Ceyhan.

As The Journalist reported, Ukraine first time carries out gas transit between EU countries.
