Five settlements in Ukraine remain flooded – DSNS

As of July 6, five settlements in Chernivtsi region remained flooded, according to the press service of the State Emergency Service.

According to rescuers, 202.5 km of roads were destroyed, namely, in Ivano-Frankivsk (201 km), Chernivtsi (1.4 km) and Lviv (0.08 km); 95 bridges were destroyed in Ivano-Frankivsk (93), Lviv (1) and Chernivtsi (1).

At least 549 km of roads and 213 bridges were damaged, namely, in Ivano-Frankivsk (507.6 km of roads and 198 bridges) and Chernivtsi (40.9 km of roads and 15 bridges) regions.

More than 3,000 cubic meters of water were pumped out during the day (since the beginning of work – more than 362,000 m3), 520 m of roads were cleared (from the beginning of work – 16,3 km), 0.37 km of river channels (from the beginning of work – 9,3 km) 5 tons of drinking water were delivered to the local population (from the beginning of work – about 46,9 tons).

Some 167 people and 72 units of equipment are working on liquidating the consequences of the disaster, out of them 139 people and 60 units of equipment (including 1 helicopter) from the State Emergency Service.
