Naftogaz of Ukrainy was obliged to lower the gas price for households in August by another UAH 265 per thousand cubic meters. Such an order was given by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman, the press service of the government reports.
According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine #293 dated April 3, 2019, Naftogaz is obliged from June to sell gas to the population at a price that is the lowest on one of the four sites, i.e. Ministry of Economic Development, the Ukrainian Energy Exchange, NAK Naftogaz, as well as the conclusion of gas supply agreements on the terms of the assignment of special duties.
According to the results of last month, the Naftogaz’s gas prices were the lowest. Therefore, in August the gas price for the population, excluding VAT tariffs for transportation and delivery, will be UAH 4,640 per thousand cubic meters, which is UAH 265 less than the price in July (UAH 4,905).
