Germany increased number of freight transport permits to Ukraine

Germany grant almost 10,000 additional freight transport permits to Ukraine for next year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

A meeting of the Ukrainian-German commission on international road transport was held in Bonn on December 3-4.

During the meeting parties discussed issues of increasing the volume of trade between Ukraine and Germany, namely, the issue of increasing the quota of freight transport permits.

Following result of negotiations, Ukrainian carriers will receive 4,000 permits (2,000 permits for vehicles that comply with EURO-4 and 2,000 permits for vehicles comply with Euro-5).

Thus, the quota for 2020 to Ukrainian carriers will be 90,000 permits, which is 9,800 more compared to the previous quota for 2019.

The parties also agreed that the permits are valid for round-trip trips in bilateral and/or transit communications, and also allows a combination of two different types of transport (bilateral and transit) to be performed during one round trip in direct and return traffic.

As The Journalist reported, Poland will give additional freight transport permits to Ukraine.
