Mayak Plant’s general director did not pay employees more than 11 million UAH

The chairman of the board, general director of Mayak Plant, OJSC, was informed about the suspicion of non-payment of wages to employees in the amount of over 11 million UAH, reported in the Kyiv prosecutor’s office.
The official is charged with committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 175 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unreasonable non-payment of wages to citizens for more than a month, committed intentionally by the head of the enterprise).

“It has been established that from December 2017 to September 2018, plant manager did not pay wages to 380 employees of enterprise, as a result of which debt in amount of UAH 11 million 200 thousand arose,” said in the statement.
It is noted that at the same time, in spite of the debts owed to workers and if there are funds in accounts, head of the company made other payments, spent money on business needs and even provided financial assistance to third-party business entities.
Currently, the question of electing the head of the enterprise a preventive measure is being resolved. The course of the pre-trial investigation is under the control of the local prosecutor’s office.
