Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, during her speeach at the UN General Assembly in New York, stressed the need to restore the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in order to prevent the possible spread of extremism and international terrorism. This is reported by Ukrinform news agency.

«On my continent, Europe, fundamental rules and principles of international law are under threat now. Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders should be restored,» – said Solberg.

Mrs Solberg called on the international community to stand up for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

«The consequences of instability concern us all. The Global security threats require global responses. The UN Security Council should be able to act, and so must we as states and as regional organizations. Zones of conflict and instability are breeding grounds for extremism and international terrorism,» – the Head of the Norwegian Government said.
